Full Moon in Scorpio : The White Flames of Purification

We’re now finding ourselves in the eye of the storm. Such is the flux around us; scarcely can we see next steps, much less feel affirmed in our direction. While it seems we’re surrounded by a swirling unknown, it’s actually unsettled clarity thundering in. The white noise is the sound of our faith not yet quieted.

As I sit in my own muck and mire, desiring to be present as the storm heaves, I’m brought the vision of Sekhmet, Egyptian lion-headed goddess of all that’s holy. In her pure white form, she’s the light that casts no shadow, and it’s her whom I invoke for safe passage.

Our soul’s purity is being polished to reveal our diamond heart. Our only option is to surrender, to not be consumed nor destroyed by the fire. Learn to contain the fires of transformation and invite it into the spaces to which you’re ignorant within yourself. Stand and allow yourself to be purified, liquefied, and reborn.

The sun is making its way from fiery Aries into grounded Taurus, acting as the young, impetuous, raging bull not yet comforted. Add to that Mars Retrograde (yawn, it must be time for another nap) and a Full Moon in Scorpio. This cosmic stew leaves us feeling like there's nowhere to hide.

The best way to ride the waves of Scorpio's tumultuous waters is with faith. Knowing there’s a deep driving force of perfect purpose which we cannot yet comprehend.

Purification rituals of any sort will also be supported. Release what no longer serves you, fess up in the places you've been less-than-honorable, and be a pure light of your own truth. Anything clouding that truth and shading your integrity will certainly be triggered. Embrace it, honor it, and thank if for bringing you into greater alignment.

Burn a white candle, take a spiritual bath, smudge your space, stand under that bawdy moon, and thank her for illuminating every dark crevice in your being. This will certainly not be a moon to forget!

Closing out 2015... the Gift of You

Some years are more prolific than others... As I look back to what was done on the blog this year, I cringe.  Where the heck was I?

Oh yeah, my loving self pipes up, your words went wider than this platform alone.  I am honored that Gaia was willing to share my writing as well as Shaman's Market this year.  I finished a book (still being edited) and traveled nearly every month.

I can ease up on myself a bit, yet I wish the quantified word count next to 2015 was heftier.

Alas, we have one last pearl for you this year.  I am blessed to have my family in town now and still find myself needing to practice my compassionate heart space as I feel myself prickly and on edge around those who love me most.  Learning to be my authentic self everywhere!  They are my greatest teacher of what I can heal.  Thank you Mama and Sister for showing me another version of my truth.

 

Renewing Joy to Uncover our Soul Mission, the blessing of Venus Retrograde

The Soul Mission sessions came in from the Goddess Sheshat as a beacon of light on our soul's journey. Since 2010, I have been working in partnership with her to assist many in walking thier highest purpose. With the shake up of this summer's Venus Retrograde, Sheshat offers renewed guidance and direction which can illuminate our path. 

The Venus retrograde is forcing all of us to stop the forward action of our desires. In our drive to achieve and embrace our dreams, the retrograde delivers not merely a pause in our visions but a backward force. We must re-dream our dreams to see if they still serve our soul's path. This has been a tumultuous time for many, for not only must we re-examine, but in some cases rebuild!, our future completely.

Relationships have been much of the focus, but of even greater import is the relationship with ourselves.

How well are we serving the truth of this heart? 

Are we in honor of the path of this soul?

The Soul Mission sessions with Sheshat are sensitive to this. They not only hold the dream of us in this life but also, in the expanse of the soul's journey though many lifetimes, they give us a broader picture of how to manifest the fullness of our light. We have grown up in a society which directs down certain paths. Some have rebelled while many have conformed. Is your life what you want it to be?


When it is against the grain to "do what you want," this Venus retrograde appears as a perfect window to rebel in style. Thwart the system, screw the man, do what the hell you want are some of the rallying cries of this astrological blessing.

The devastation for some may come in not knowing what they are passionate about. Can you in your heart of hearts reclaim your joy? Do you know the secret key to unlock your vital soul?

Passion is our purpose. To be in centered awareness with this throbbing source of truth within is the driving force of this retrograde.

Where many may falter is in having the courage to face and walk the path Venus sets before us. In making the changes she reveals, we are all but guaranteed a life that is on track with our destiny.

Like the green bud of spring, all life is fresh and new around us now. Keep reclaiming the joy, follow the bliss and we are assured an alignment with our soul that will fulfill us emotionally, financially, physically and spiritually. If we ignore the bud, it is sure to wilt, returning us to our mundane and unsatisfied reality.

usher you back to yourself.

Crazy as a Teacher :: How we Give Away our Power

While working with a client, we explored how in every relationship she begins to feel crazy.  It was an obvious form of her giving away her power!  I too have experienced this in new love but could never see so clearly what was occurring.  What a shift!
